Digger Visits Dowell Elementary with Cobb EMC’s Safety Hawk Wattson

On Friday, March 25, 2016, the Digger Dog show visited the 2nd grade at Dowell Elementary School in Marietta, GA.  Digger explained to them that a non-conductor of electricity will not let electricity pass through and a conductor will let electricity pass through.  Then he asked them to give four good examples of conductors of electricity they answered with “metal, wet wood, water and people”.  When the students said “water”, Digger decided to spray water all over them and Ms. Maria the Digger Dog Program Presenter, warned him, if he sprayed them with water again he would have to go to the dog house.  The students then said “people”.  Ms. Maria was explaining the reason that “people” are good conductor of electricity because our bodies are made up of almost 80% water!  Digger started spraying the students with water again, so he was sent to the dog house.  After Digger came back from the dog house he brought his good friend Cobb EMC’s Safety Hawk Wattson to meet the students!
