On Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, the Digger Dog show visited the 3rd grade at Oglethorpe County Elementary in Lexington, GA. He told them that wet wood is a good conductor of electricity. He also told them the reason their parents tell them not to run under a tree during a thunder storm, because the lightning could hit the tree branch go through the sap in the middle of the tree trunk all the way to the ground. Electricity likes to be grounded so it will find the fastest way to get to the ground!
