On May 15, 2015, the Digger Dog show visited the 2nd grade at Unity Grove Elementary in Locust Grove, GA. He told them when their parents “Call 811” before they dig, we will also ask them if they will be working within 10 feet on high voltage overhead lines. He also told them that if they are, we notify the electric company and they go out and put a rubber sleeve over the line. The reason they use rubber is because rubber in a non-conductor of electricity, which means electricity cannot pass through it!
